The Controller shall supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department in a construction company environment, manage the monthly closings; prepare and publish the monthly financial statements and various related and supporting reports, oversee job costing and the processing and payment of weekly payroll; and file a variety of payroll and sales tax returns. SMC seeks experienced, responsible individuals to complete work assignments in an efficient and safe manner. Qualified applicants must have previous experience in operating underground equipment. (Backhoe, trencher and/or plow). Ideal candidate will possess a valid driver’s license as well as a desirable history in driving and safety. A CDL license, class A- restricted with air brake endorsement is highly desired.
SMC seeks 3+ years experience in CAT 5E, CAT 6 and preferably Fiber Optic installation. Must have own tools and a willingness to travel to various job locations. A valid driver’s license required. Government clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance preferred.
