OSP Manager
Director OSP Operations
Job Purpose:
Long term management position, which will direct a team of OSP construction project and area managers (current projects located primarily in the National Capital Region – MD/DC/VA), while establishing and accomplishing business objectives.
Duties:
- Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers and employees; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives.
- Accomplishes objectives by helping to establish plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
- Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with staff.
- Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. - Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Approximately 70% of time will be spent in the field.

Skills/Qualifications:
- At least 10 years hands on experience in the Outside Plant construction industry
- Must have 4+ years proven experience managing large OSP projects and operations
- Strong hand on experience and knowledge of HDD, backhoes, trenchers and all underground and aerial equipment
- Experience with electric, copper, coax, fiber and conduit construction
- Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel)
- High energy, proactive approach
